BURSA TECHNOLOGY COORDINATION AND R&D CENTER (BUTEKOM)

BUTEKOM is a “Sectoral R&D Center” established in 2008 in line with the decision taken by the Textile Technologies Working Group, to direct the R&D activities of all textile enterprises in Bursa and its surroundings to the subjects determined by the working groups, to provide common benefit, to develop R&D and innovation awareness in companies and to carry out studies in line with the needs of companies.

BUTEKOM, which continued its activities as a textile and apparel R&D center until 2014, today it is a technology and R&D center consisting of;

  • Textile and Technical Textile Research and Excellence Center,
  • Advanced Composite Materials Research and Excellence Center,
  • Composite Materials and Technical Textile Prototype Production and Application Center.

Test Analysis and Inspection Services

BUTEKOM Laboratories, one of the laboratories with the most advanced technical infrastructure in Bursa and Turkiye, continues to add new ones to its initiatives every day in order to support beneficiary companies to become pioneers in their sectors.

The test laboratories operating within BUTEKOM, which was established in Bursa with the aim of strengthening innovation-based and value-added production, have been accredited for 48 tests by providing the general conditions for the adequacy of TÜRKAK TS EN ISO / IEC-17025 Standard Test and Calibration Laboratories in line with international standards, and serve the textile, technical textile, ready-made clothing, automotive, rail systems, plastic, rubber and aerospace sectors with over 300 test standards.

After having TÜRKAK accreditations, BUTEKOM successfully completed the audit conducted by TÜV NORD and was entitled to receive the “TÜV NORD Laboratory Conformity Certificate” within the scope of ISO/IEC 17025, the most prestigious certificate for Conformity Assessment Bodies, thus once again confirming its service quality.

In cooperation with the academic world; BUTEKOM, which has undertaken the mission of providing high quality, reliable, impartial, accredited, value-added innovative solutions and services to the sectors within its service area through activities such as R&D, testing, analysis, inspection, technical reporting, training and project development, has recently signed cooperation agreements with SGS and INTERTEK, which are world-wide leaders in the fields of testing/analysis and certification, in addition to local institutions such as BTÜ MERLAB and TÜBİTAK BUTAL, and is able to produce solutions through common sense on many issues such as mutual test submission, method development, error detection and situation assessment.

BUTEKOM, which carries out studies to increase the competitive power, innovative approaches and quality product production of companies and people related to the sector, supports all these services with advantageous and special price studies for the sector in order to provide maximum benefit for companies.
